Installation & Design Considerations

• Locate insulation horizontally between wall ties directly on back-up wall.
• Provide 1” minimum clear space between inside brick face and the exterior surface of the insulation board.
• Abut foam insulation board joints tightly. Cut insulation to fit tightly around vents, louvers, pipes, conduits and other through-wall/insulation penetrations.
• Joints and openings should be sealed with Owens Corning BILD-R-TAPE®.
• Provide adequate flashings, functioning weepholes and caulk movement joints.
• The need for and placement of vapor retarders should be determined by the building designer.
• Architect must supply detailed drawings to meet project and building code requirements.
