Installation & Design Considerations

• Maximum furring spacing 24” o.c. Fasten furring to structural wall. Close all joints between foam insulation panels tightly.
• For maximum performance, eliminate thermal “shorts” by installing insulation over furring.
• The need for and placement of vapor retarders should be determined by the building designer.
• Maximum moisture vapor control can be provided by using a 4 mil polyethylene film vapor retarder with a .08 or lower perm rating.
• In moderate climate conditions adequate protection can be provided by 2 mil polyethylene film.
• Rigid foam insulation must be separated from the building interior. Completely cover insulation with a code-approved thermal barrier.
• Architect must supply detail drawing to meet project and building code requirements.
