Installation & Design Considerations

• Evaluate climate and building interior conditions to determine the amount of roof deck insulation needed to control surface condensation on bar joists.
• Wire-up installation: Utilize 16 or 18 gauge line wire run diagonally or perpendicular to insulation every 18 to 24 inches.
• Impaling pin installation: Utilize impaling pins welded to the roof deck or fastened to the deck with adhesive. Impale insulation on anchor and secure with washer.
• The minimum number of impaling pins needed are shown in the diagrams below. Pins should be placed 3”-8” from the edge(s) of the product.
